A Creative Card-Making Competition was organised at The Doon Global School, Jhajra, where children from various schools also participated. It was followed by Srijan, an exhibition of paintings.
Organised under the aegis of Principals'' Progressive Schools'' Association, the event was inaugurated by the governor of Uttaranchal, Sudarshan Agarwal. The results of the day were as follows : (Category - A) Balam (Doon Cambridge School), Sanskriti Tiwari (Cambrian Hall) and Sandeep Rawat (Doon Cambridge School).
(Category -B) Aditi Chauhan (Doon Cambridge School), Tanu Dhillon (Prince Niketan0) and Khushboo Rana (Scholars'' Home). (Category - C) Parminder (Gautam International School), Sonal Makin (Scholars'' Home) and Onkar Singh Lamba (Gautam International School).
Results of the painting competition were as follows: (Group - A) Sugandha Shah (Indian Cambridge); (Group - B) Lun Man Jong (Ambassador School); (Group - C) Sonu Devanand.
President of the Principals'' Progressive Schools'' Association and principal, Pestle Weed College, Prem Kashyap spoke at length about the various initiatives taken by the association for promoting a healthy learning environment. Present on the occasion were Uttaranchal''s education director M.C. Pant, zonal manager, Punjab National Bank, Keshav Aggarwal, principal Cambrian Hall, R.C. Singhal, principal Doon Global School, G.R. Gangwar, and principal Children''s Academy Kiran Kashyap.
